TFF reviews the Masterclass Fluorocarbon from Fulling Mill .
Fulling Mill Word Class fluorocarbon has been around for years and is a firm favourite with pleasure and competition anglers for its reliability as a leader material. The new Masterclass is a narrow diameter fluorocarbon that comes in 50m spools, which have a tangle-free band and, through the interlocking spool system, clip together for easy storage. Masterclass comes in 13 different breaking strains from 2.82lb (0.110mm diameter) to 23.17lb (0.385mm) with a whole range in between to meet the needs of all game anglers. This fluorocarbon claims to be the lowest refractory index of a fluoro on the market and the densest, allowing it to cut through the surface tension quicker. I’ve used the 5.03lb and 4.19lb for small stillwater work. I’ve found it knots well, is straight when it comes off the spool and in use and is ideal for fishing small patterns for educated trout in clear water. An excellent reliable material for those ‘seen it all fish’. Available direct from Fulling Mill or one of its stockists.
